Business Case for Establishing the National Index on Agri-Food Performance

The Fisheries Council of Canada is a partner in a private-public coalition to develop Canada’s first agri-food sustainability index.

Making this index happen is pressing and in our sector’s best interests; it’s a matter of national leadership. Benchmarking is a key tool that can help Canada’s agri-food sector compete, add value, improve societal/environmental outcomes and inform policy-making. This business case is about building momentum around this important initiative, inviting feedback and gaining support-in-principle for advancing it.
